Sweep Clean: Spring Cleaning at the Berkeley Buddhist Monastery

This Saturday, May 17

Hi, everyone. Come spend a fun Saturday working together to clean the Berkeley Buddhist Monastery. Sweep clean your mind while you sweep clean the monastery. Everyone is invited to lunch at 11am, followed by community service till 4:30pm.

There will be tea and light snacks time, followed by an optional evening sit from 5:15pm to 6:15pm.

The Dharma Realm Buddhist Young Adults (DRBY) consists of college students and young adults who are interested in applying Buddhist principles to their daily lives. DRBY is a community of young people who are searching for wisdom and are committed to helping others while advancing on their own spiritual path. This community provides support for each other's spiritual cultivation and inquiry into life's deeper meaning in a friendly and open atmosphere.

 

Dharma Roundtable in Berkeley Buddhist Monastery

Hi, everyone. We're kicking off our practice-based roundtable, starting tonight April, 14 at 7:30-9pm. There will be one hour of Integral Mahayana Meditation (iMam) practice followed by a half-hour of informal discussion for young adults interested in applying Buddhism to their everyday lives and issues.

Discussion dates will be every other Monday starting April 14th from 7:30-9:00pm (available only April & May). Dates are 4/14, 4/28, 5/12, 5/26.


 

Organic Farming Volunteer Week

This is an opportunity to both contribute to and live in a Buddhist monastic environment while working on an organic farm. Meditation, recitation, and talks by monks and nuns will be arranged throughout the week.
